12/06/2026 — Llegó de Japón muy sucio y oxidado, pero arrancaba bien. Se ha procedido a limpiar la placa y a desmontar las piezas metálicas oxidadas, que están recibiendo un tratamiento antióxido. En paralelo se está limpiando la carcasa. Una vez se remonten las piezas metálicas, se verificará el teclado, que es lo único que queda por revisar.
2026-06-12 — Arrived from Japan very dirty and rusty, but it powered on fine. We've cleaned the board and removed the rusted metal parts, which are getting an anti-rust treatment. In parallel we're cleaning the case. Once the metal parts are refitted, we'll check the keyboard, which is the only thing left to review.
Nota técnica: la MSX Wiki advierte de que el FS-A1mkII incorpora una placita «HIC-1» con tres condensadores SMD electrolíticos que suelen tener fugas con el tiempo y dañan la zona de alrededor. Punto a revisar durante el mantenimiento.
Technical note: the MSX Wiki warns that the FS-A1mkII has a small "HIC-1" daughterboard with three SMD electrolytic capacitors that tend to leak over time and damage the surrounding area. Worth checking during servicing.
22/06/2026 — Reparación finalizada. Se ha eliminado todo el óxido del interior y se ha revisado el correcto funcionamiento de los cartuchos y del vídeo. La salida de RF tenía demasiado óxido, así que se ha retirado: el equipo funciona perfectamente por las salidas AV y RGB. Se ha revisado el teclado y limpiado la membrana, y todas las teclas responden correctamente. El plástico exterior presenta una ligera decoloración, pero es solo superficial. El Panasonic FS-A1mkII queda totalmente operativo.
2026-06-22 — Repair complete. All the internal rust has been removed and the cartridges and video have been checked and work correctly. The RF output was too rusty, so it has been removed: the machine works perfectly via the AV and RGB outputs. The keyboard has been checked and the membrane cleaned, and all keys respond correctly. The outer plastic shows slight discolouration, but it's only superficial. The Panasonic FS-A1mkII is now fully operational.
